Karmic Consequences

Is there a karmic consequence involved in the eating of fermented foods (yogurt, cheese, wine, vinegar, etc.) and what are their effects upon the soul?

Hilarion: the foods that are placed in the human body have various effects on the three bodies (physical, astral and aetheric) and in some rare instances an effect at the soul or higher self level is also experienced. However, there is no particular consequence beyond that of the natural cause and effect mechanism which operates at all levels of the physical worlds.

Let us explain this more fully. Some readers have not fully understood by what is meant by the word, "karma." They believe still that some entity or judge on a high throne looks down in a disapproving manner whenever some transgression of "God's Laws" takes place and assigns a packet of "Karma" to the guilty individual Nothing of the kind takes place. We have tried repeatedly in our books to emphasize the fact that karma is an automatic process which arises from any act - whether positive, negative or neutral. The result of all one's past actions are carried about in the form of a vibrational "charge," within the various bodies of the individual and the accumulation of this karma is a perfectly natural process inherent in reality.

If a person carries out some positive act of help or charity or love toward another, then the result is a quantity of positive vibration which enters into the make-up of the individual at some level and always remains. It is in this manner that "light" is collected in the soul. The light is simply the accumulation of positive actions which have been aligned with the loving and creative forces.

By the same token, a person can accumulate negative vibrations or negative karma through the carrying out of harmful actions and the bringing of pain to any other creature that has emanated from God-whether this pain is physical, emotional or mental. 

Now, were it not for a special decision that was made at the beginning of the great process of manifestation, such negative vibrations or karma would accumulate endlessly, ultimately dooming many souls to being blocked or stopped on their path, never reaching beyond a certain point. The load of negative vibration which they carried would simply not allow the degree of purification and lightness necessary to permit the seeker to reach the highest levels on the mountain of spiritual progess. The decision was to allow any entity to discharge the negative vibrations or karma-by passing through the same form of pain as has been meted out to another entity in order to acquire the karma.

To return now to the original question, it will perhaps be realized that the only consequence of eating any form of food is that arising from the natural cause and effect mechanism (which is another expression for the law of karma) Thus, a person who drinks excessively will ultimately damage his physical body because of the effect of the alcohol. He will also do great damage to the astral body. These are natural effects arising from the cause, namely excessive drinking. In a very real sense, that is the karmic consequence. Whenever any doubt arises about a particular foodstuff, or about or about the best form of a given foodstuff, the selection is almost always best when the most natural form of the foodstuff is taken. 

Fertilizer

What are the karmic and nutritional effects of using chemical versus organic fertilizers?

Hilarion: The essential thing to understand is that growing things does not require any fertilizers at all, either organic or chemical, when the principles of crop rotation and biological transmutation of the elements are put into effect. One of the main reasons why man loads his fields with fertilizers of various kinds is that he fails to understand that all biologial life- forms, whether animal or plant, have the ability to transmute the chemical elements they receive into the chemical elements they need. This ability is not unlimited, of course. 

The enzymes which accomplish this transmutation are provided to the various species to enable them to carry out the right transmutations which they require, but not those which they do not require. 

Investigations in France have shown that virtually all life forms have this transmutative ability and that this factor explains why crop rotation allows the soil to replenish itself with the minerals that it requires. Cows give in their milk many times as much calcium as they ingest, and yet they are never short of calcium. From where does the extra come? Enzymes in the cow's stomach allow other elements to be changed into calcium in great quantity. 

To return to the original question, if one must use fertilizers at all, the organic ones are superior to those manufactured chemically. There are no karmic effects of using the one in preference to the other, aside from that arising from simple cause and effect. 

As to the nutritional results of using either kind of fertilizer, we find that the organic method tends to produce a more abundant supply of essential minerals and vitamins in the food. However, as we have pointed out, the ability to transmute elements in large measure shields not only the animals but man too from the risks of insufficient nutrition, provided a basic quantity of carbohydrates can be ingested, and provided the metabolism has not been damaged through incorrect diet in the past.

Projecting Your Consciousness To The Galactic Center

Hilarion: A question has been asked with relationship to the nature of the Galactic center because many individuals are looking at the energies happening on your planet and trying to ascribe these to aspects that are external. It is true that a Galactic wave, an energy is moving through and it is very easy to see how this works. It is not particularly difficult scientifically or that which can easily be proven by external physics but that which is derived easily by astral travel. Traveling out of the body does not have any limits so far as speed or velocity is concerned. Hence, with sufficient attention and energy you could for instance project your consciousness about a few million light-years away to a planet in the galaxy of Andromeda. No difficulty there you can visualize it, you can understand it.

As you project your consciousness to the center of the galaxy about 26,000 light years away, you then recognize what may have occurred there 26,000 years ago as a burst of energy has moved through the galaxy and is heading towards Earth. As a result you can look at all of the planets that intersect and what has happened to them, how they have changed, and how the energies have shifted. Indeed, you also recognize the energies on planet Earth, ways in which various elements have been shaped and formed by powerful bursts of different kinds of energies and there are those who have ascribed this to the same cosmic blast of energy.

But, what you do not recognize is that most of these energies interact with people who tend to be more physical or connected to the earth as human beings are for the most part, there is then the response of a wave and consciousness, of a shift but little else. It is this in which we can derive our basis of a simple prediction, going against that which so many have said of course, sorry about that but the idea that December 21- 22nd will be quite glorious and beautiful but you are not going to ascend. You're probably going to find perhaps, if you had expectations for this some disappointment. But, as we have been speaking about this extensively for the last few years it will be no surprise to those of you who have heard us talk about this before.

But, in this way it is still a grand opportunity because the consciousness is attuned to this idea of Ascension, of raising consciousness and at the same time there is this external influence, a wave of cosmic energy that is indeed passing through the earth that is not likely to erase hard disks and cause great interruptions on the earth but that which will have an effect, shifting consciousness, encouraging you to awaken more fully, to look more consciously at these important issues.

One of them also relates to a new development that has occurred in the last few months, the release of the book on universal laws. This was first released in Finish and it will be completed as a translation in English and the idea of this book long time in coming is to remind you to look at the underlying principles as you would look at the various questions and answers in your life, in particular in the Fall, important as you look at the universal laws to look at the intuitive side, the magical side of it.
